Job summary

Metro Healthy Communities in Tampa, FL is seeking a Housing Coordinator to provide housing services, assess client needs, and develop Housing Care Plans that establish a pathway to long-term stable housing. You will connect clients with METRO and community resources, and assist with housing financial assistance documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in the human services administration/field.
• Minimum of two years of work experience within a social service-related housing setting (Section 8, HOPWA, HUD).
• Experience working with HIV positive individuals, substance abuse populations, communities of color, LGBTQ+ and other high-risk populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and identify housing needs for clients through comprehensive assessment.
• Identify and evaluate resources to assist clients in meeting housing needs.
• Develop a Housing Care Plan with the client to ensure pathway to stable housing.
• Link clients to METRO and community resources such as medical care and job training.
• Complete and assist with client housing financial assistance documentation.
• Collaborate with Case Managers and other departments to assist clients.
