Job summary

The University of Central Florida's Housing and Residence Life is hiring a Housing Assignment Assistant to serve as a trusted contact for students, families, and staff, supporting the day-to-day administration and assignments in the Housing Administration Building.

You will work with StarRez and PeopleSoft to provide accurate information across channels, ensuring smooth operations and a welcoming housing experience for Knights family.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 0+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in higher education or similar setting preferred.
• Familiarity with StarRez or PeopleSoft.
• Strong customer service in fast-paced, high-volume administrative environment; attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and provide accurate information or route to staff.
• Train staff and student assistants on the phone system.
• Use StarRez and PeopleSoft to locate and share information.
• Respond to student and parent inquiries via department email.
• Maintain passwords and access to departmental accounts.
• Provide back-up front desk coverage as needed.
• Represent the department at university events.
• Process cancellations, room assignments, and room changes in systems.
