Job summary

Five Keys' Home Free program on Treasure Island seeks a Housing Ambassador to oversee safety and wellbeing of residents on overnight, swing, and weekend shifts. The role reports to the Home Free Program Manager and collaborates with the Coordinator to ensure a secure living environment.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, organizational ability, and a commitment to trauma-informed care for a diverse group of survivors of domestic violence.

Qualifications

• Must hold a High School Diploma or GED or be actively working toward a diploma.
• Experience working with homeless populations using harm-reduction models preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety, security and well-being of participants during shifts.
• Respond to emergencies after hours and coordinate with the Program Manager.
• Maintain logs, communicate with staff, and enforce Home Free house rules.
• Engage residents in activities and, if needed, facilitate groups or workshops.
• Complete maintenance requests and participate in staff meetings and trainings.
