Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels Corporation is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to assist the Housekeeping Manager in supervising daily housekeeping and laundry operations. You will inspect rooms, train attendants, and occasionally perform cleaning tasks to ensure rooms meet brand standards and occupancy readiness.

Responsibilities include scheduling, inventory control, and enforcing health and safety standards while promoting teamwork and exceptional guest service across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus two years housekeeping experience including supervisory training/experience.
• Extended stay industry experience preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Reading and writing abilities are required to document tasks and read manuals.
• Basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages and variances.
• Problem solving, organizational and training abilities.
• Experience with Microsoft Office preferred.
• Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility; lift up to 50 pounds; mornings/evenings/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Sonesta Service in all guest interactions following G.U.E.S.T. standards.
• Recruit, develop, manage and monitor performance with the Housekeeping Manager.
• Inspect suites and public areas for cleanliness and repair; retrain as needed.
• Assist with training and ensuring staff have tools and equipment.
• Assist with scheduling and room cleaning assignments for proper coverage.
• Perform housekeeping duties including guest suites and public spaces.
• Inventory and maintain par levels for linen and supplies.
• Monitor laundry supplies and equipment for sufficiency and order.
• Manage lost and found items procedures.
• Promote teamwork and quality service across shifts and management.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
