Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee housekeeping staff, uphold brand and guest service standards, and support sustainability practices. The role involves training, scheduling, coaching, and ensuring safety and efficiency in cleaning operations.

The candidate should have prior housekeeping or related training and may have supervisory experience. Occasional room cleaning and collaboration with external vendors may be required to maintain service quality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training required.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values.
• Screen job applicants, and hire new employees.
• Train staff to clean rooms efficiently according to established standards or with external vendors.
• Be aware of and communicate guest service scores to drive improvement and higher guest satisfaction.
• Issue cleaning supplies and equipment to associates.
• On occasion, clean rooms or assist staff with cleaning rooms.
• Address associate performance and behavior concerns by direct intervention or through vendors.
• Supervise laundry employees if applicable.
• Prepare work schedules for associates or provide vendors with occupancy expectations to ensure proper staffing.
• Follow sustainability guidelines related to EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits and wear protective equipment.
• Assist in the breakfast area as needed.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
