Duties and Expectations
1. Happy Guests
- Guest Relations: Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile.
- Name Use: Use the guests’ names whenever possible, ensuring they feel properly welcomed.
- Guest Satisfaction: All Team Members work together to contribute to high guest satisfaction scores.
- Recovery: Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and a sense of urgency.
- Hotel Knowledge: Strong knowledge of all features of the hotel facility and amenities.
- Events: Be aware of and support all groups and events at the hotel.
- Technology: Understand relevant technology for each role.
- Phone Etiquette: Answer all incoming calls with friendly service using the approved greeting.
2. Spotless Cleanliness
- Sparkling Clean Workspaces: Keep all areas, front and back of the house, clean and well-organized.
- Pitching In: Cleanliness is a team effort! Everyone may be asked to assist in cleaning guest rooms and public spaces as needed.
- Hospitality While Cleaning: Greet every guest happily with a smile, by name if possible, while cleaning.
3. Product Consistency & Quality
- Checklists to 100% Accuracy: Complete all operational checklists accurately and on time every shift.
- Shift Handover Reports: Ensure handover reports are accurate and timely for effective communication between shifts.
- Flawless Uniform: Wear a clean, approved uniform, be well-groomed, wear a nametag, and smile at all times.

- Communication: Maintain clear, honest, and professional communication with team members.
- Can Do Attitude: Be willing to go beyond traditional roles to meet the needs of guests and the business.

SECTION TWO: Housekeeping Supervisor, Role Specific Duties and Expectations
The Housekeeping Supervisor manages cleaning operations, including rooms, public areas, laundry, and assumes duties of the Executive Housekeeper in their absence. This includes cleaning guest rooms and public spaces, and overseeing staff.
Other Duties and Expectations
- Manage Guest Request Log: Review daily requests and address issues proactively.
- VIP Management: Monitor VIP guests and special requests.
- Oversee Housekeeping Team: Conduct daily stand-ups and manage checklists in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.
- Room Inspection: Ensure quality and cleanliness of rooms and public spaces.
- Storage Rooms: Maintain organization and cleanliness.
- Pre-Cleaning Duties: Stock supplies and linen, prepare carts.
- Trash and Linen Removal: Remove waste and replace linens.
- Deep Cleaning: Conduct as needed with maintenance support.
- Departmental Meetings: Lead daily meetings in absence of the Executive Housekeeper.
- Supply Management: Order and maintain stock of supplies.
- Inventory: Conduct regular inventories.
- Maintenance Requests: Monitor work orders and follow up.
- Status Reports: Manage room status reports and resolve discrepancies.
- Lost and Found: Maintain procedures and policies.
- Chemical Safety: Ensure proper use and compliance with OSHA standards.
- Key Control: Maintain key control system.
SECTION THREE: Success Metrics
Metrics include guest satisfaction scores, cleanliness inspections, quality checks, and teamwork performance ratings.
SECTION FOUR: Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in hospitality or related field preferred; supervisory experience a plus.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow guidelines and procedures.
- Work well under pressure.
- Effective listening and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Desire to serve guests.
- Must be 18+ years old.
- Willing to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays.
- Timely clock-in/out and proper break management.
Physical Demands & Working Environment
Must be able to stand for long periods, operate machinery, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform visual inspections.
