Job Overview

Supervise housekeeping operations, ensuring a safe environment and quality service to maximize guest satisfaction, protect assets, and control expenses.

Responsibilities

1. Supervise housekeeping staff; provide communication, training, coaching, counseling, and performance feedback for efficiency.
2. Inspect cleaning of guest rooms, turndown service, public areas, and back of the house; ensure compliance with safety, SOPs, and sanitation standards for cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
3. Assign tasks to staff, review special requests, and areas of focus for smooth operations.
4. Manage supplies and inventory, controlling expenses and ensuring availability.
5. Respond to guest requests and concerns, log Lost and Found items, and handle inquiries to maintain satisfaction and control.
6. Implement emergency procedures to protect hotel, guests, staff, and assets.

Qualifications

1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Experience: 1-2 years in a related housekeeping role.
3. Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of housekeeping operations, policies, and supervisory skills; on-the-job learning acceptable.

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs., communicate effectively, inspect areas, and perform physical activities like bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs. Continuous standing and movement required. No driving needed. Environment involves strenuous activity with heat and humidity, especially in laundry areas.
