Job summary

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager at Kimpton Miralina Resort in Paradise Valley, AZ, ensures the housekeeping operation runs smoothly with attentive, friendly and efficient service while managing expenses and guest safety.

This role leads housekeeping staff, conducts interviews, schedules, enforces SOPs, and coordinates with other departments to maintain Highgate Hotel standards and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field; or a 4-year college degree; or a 2-year college degree and one or more years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
• Respond to guest requests and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
• Motivate, coach, and discipline housekeeping staff per SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with training standards and daily cleaning checklists.
• Inspect rooms daily and coordinate VIP room readiness with supervisors.
• Prepare and conduct housekeeping interviews and manage staff schedules.
• Maintain SOPs and ensure proper inventory and equipment management.
• Balance room status nightly and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in payroll and budget-related tasks for housekeeping.
