Job summary

Accor's Sofitel Washington DC Lafayette Square is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to lead the housekeeping team and uphold the hotel's high cleanliness standards.

Reporting to the Rooms Operations Manager, you will manage daily operations, guest concerns, scheduling, payroll, and staff development while delivering guest experiences that reflect Accor's commitment to responsible hospitality.

Qualifications

• Warm and caring personality; previous housekeeping experience an asset.
• Ability to engage with guests empathetically and professionally.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the day-to-day operation of the housekeeping department to ensure standards are followed.
• Handle guest concerns promptly, log issues, and notify proper areas.
• Provide leadership and guidance to a diverse team while fostering engagement and value.
• Oversee daily briefings, inspections, and prioritization for room attendants.
• Assist with scheduling, payroll, and annual performance reviews.
• Lead recruitment and training efforts to develop team members and drive engagement.
