Job summary

French Lick Resort seeks a Dispatcher to manage incoming calls for guest and employee needs, assign tasks to House Attendants, and coordinate with Front Office and supervisory staff. You will monitor room status, handle requests, and maintain records of communications and payroll-related data.

The position requires a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and basic computer and typing abilities. Background checks and drug screening are required for employment.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED).
• Must have a pleasant speaking voice.
• Previous administrative background preferred.
• General knowledge of computers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to type accurately (30 words per minute).
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age to work in the Casino in a non-sensitive area.
• Employment contingent upon favorable background investigation and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assign daily duties to House Attendants and complete room assignments.
• Assign work for floors, deep cleaners and supervisors; manage time sections.
• Communicate guest needs, cleaning needs, and projects to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain room status through computer monitoring and updates to Front Office.
• Monitor room availability and communicate needs to Floor Supervisors.
• Maintain logs of calls and housekeeping/maintenance requests and assign accordingly.
• Keep Executive Housekeeper and Housekeeping Manager informed of issues.
• Practice professional telephone etiquette and guest service at all times.
• Forward lost and found items to Security and log items handled.
• Update payroll reports and ensure accurate punches and attendance.
• Maintain absentee logs for housekeeping staff.
• Place rooms out of order with management approval.
• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings with housekeeping staff and forecast turnover.
• Supervise night attendant duties and complete work assignments.
• Perform other related duties as requested by Management.
