Job summary

Avera Sacred Heart Hospital is seeking a dedicated environmental services worker to maintain cleanliness throughout patient rooms, offices, nurses stations, and common areas. The position offers a day shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm and an hourly pay range of $17.50 to $21.50, depending on experience.

The role involves dusting, washing, mopping, vacuuming, restocking supplies, and ensuring a welcoming and sanitary environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others and work in a team.
• Requires visual acuity to perform cleaning duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean environment in assigned areas such as patient rooms, offices, and common areas.
• Performs cleaning tasks including dusting, washing, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal.
• Restocks supplies and keeps cleaning carts stocked with necessary items.
• Maintains good customer relations and works with team to ensure a hygienic environment.

These areas may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.Participates in all cleaning activities as assigned. These may include, but not be limited to: dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash.Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc.Responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies.Maintain good customer relations at all times.May sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens.Essential QualificationsThe individual must be able to work the hours specified.
