Job summary

Avera St Mary's Hospital in Pierre, SD is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services team member to maintain a clean, safe patient care environment. The role includes cleaning patient rooms, nurse stations, and common areas, stocking supplies, and assisting with linen delivery.

You will work rotating days/evenings/nights with every other weekend and occasional holidays or on-call shifts, contributing to a compassionate care team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and neat environment in assigned areas including patient rooms, nurse stations, lounges, restrooms, kitchens, and hallways.
• Restock supplies on cleaning carts and ensure availability of towels and paper products.
• Sort, wash, and deliver linens as needed; assist with waste and trash handling.
• Support a collaborative, respectful team environment and respond to on-call or on-site needs as required.

These areas may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.Participates in all cleaning activities as assigned. These may include, but not be limited to: dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash.Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc.Responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies.Maintain good customer relations at all times.May sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens.Essential QualificationsThe individual must be able to work the hours specified.
