Job summary

JGS Leavitt Family Jewish Home is seeking a Part-Time Floor Care Technician to perform routine floor care across a long-term care facility. The role includes sweeping, mopping, waxing, and disinfecting floors, with a schedule of 7:00AM–3:00PM and weekend/holiday rotations.

Experience in healthcare housekeeping is preferred and English communication is required. The position offers competitive hourly pay and benefits as part of a supportive workplace that values resident safety and staff

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in housekeeping/laundry in a healthcare or senior living setting preferred.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written.

• Perform routine floor care, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing, stripping, and waxing floors throughout the long-term care facility.
• Clean and disinfect floors and high-traffic areas according to infection-control and facility safety standards.
• Operate and maintain floor-care equipment and promptly report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
• Coordinate cleaning activities around residents, staff, meals, and scheduled activities to maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
