Job summary

Hampton Inn Chicago Midway Airport is seeking a Houseperson to support the Housekeeping Department by keeping public areas clean and inviting. You will assist room attendants, deliver linens and supplies, and help maintain Hampton Inn brand standards in a safe, welcoming environment.

You will stock closets, remove trash, respond to guest requests, and help with meeting room setup while adhering to safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, hotel, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of public areas including lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, meeting spaces, and guest common areas.
• Assist Room Attendants by delivering linens, towels, guest supplies, and housekeeping amenities.
• Stock housekeeping closets and ensure adequate inventory of supplies.
• Remove trash and recyclables from public areas and designated hotel locations.
• Vacuum, dust, mop, sweep, and perform routine cleaning tasks.
• Respond promptly to guest requests in a courteous and professional manner.
• Assist with meeting room setup and breakdown as needed.
• Clean exterior entrances and maintain curb appeal.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and lost-and-found items.
