Highgate Hotels is seeking a Steward at the Kalia Theatre to maintain cleanliness and proper storage of china, glass, and silver, while assisting kitchen staff with sanitation and storage. You will help with food storage, rotation, and maintaining the kitchen and storage areas in top condition.

The role requires endurance for long shifts, ability to lift heavy objects, and a courteous, service‑oriented attitude toward guests and colleagues. Full‑time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Able to withstand temperature variations, hot and cold.
• Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
• Effective communication with all employees and guests.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and orderliness in kitchens, back dock, dumpster and utility work areas.
• Heavy duty cleaning of ovens, grills, sinks, walls, floors, walk‑in refrigerators and freezers and other heavy kitchen equipment.
• Wash pots, pans, and kitchen utensils following proper procedure for their cleanliness and sanitation.
• Sweep, mop and wash floors in all food and beverage areas, kitchen, and dock area.
• Operate dishwashing equipment to ensure proper cleaning and sanitation.
• Follow all sanitation standards and safety procedures.
