Job summary

The Stewarding Supervisor at Kalia Theatre, under Highgate Hotels, oversees the stewarding department during the afternoon and evening shifts to ensure proper utensil sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with Health Department requirements and hotel standards.

The role also includes supervising stewards, ensuring safety, maintaining sanitation across kitchens, storerooms, and related areas, and communicating shortages or equipment issues to management while upholding guest service norms.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• College courses in related field helpful.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Flexibility for long hours.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Supervise stewards, pot washers, and night stewards to ensure proper utensil sanitation and storage.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and hotel procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness in banquet hall, loading dock, and receiving areas.
• Oversee sanitation of kitchen, storerooms, hallways, dock, and equipment.
• Monitor cleanliness and orderliness of kitchens and related areas.
• Inform management of equipment or supply shortages.
• Operate dishwashing equipment to ensure thorough cleaning and sanitation.
