Job summary

Drury Plaza Hotel is seeking a kitchen/provisional food-prep team member in St Paul, MN. Under general supervision, you will prepare a variety of food items per recipes, keep the prep area clean, and help deliver meals to guests while upholding Drury's hospitality standards.

You will operate POS systems and kitchen equipment, assist a bartender as needed (not making drinks), and communicate clearly with guests and coworkers. The role emphasizes service, integrity, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Requires ability to take written and verbal direction in English and speak English clearly.
• Requires ability to operate machines and equipment used, including POS software, dishwashers, kitchen equipment, etc.
• Requires ability to communicate effectively with customers and all levels of team members; ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
• Requires ability to support bartender, but does not make or pour alcoholic beverages.
• Requires ability to clean and maintain areas for which responsible.
• Requires ability to effectively and efficiently move around bar and kitchen area.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, prepares a variety of food products using kitchen equipment and utensils according to recipes to fulfill guest orders.
• Maintains the food prep area clean and organized while delivering food and assisting guests.
• Provides high standard of integrity, service and hospitality to customers and coworkers.
• Has general knowledge of the hotel, area and events to answer questions.
