Job summary

The Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown hotel is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead hotel operations in the General Manager's absence, coordinating departments, optimizing revenue, and controlling costs. You’ll guide teams and ensure excellent guest service across all touchpoints, acting as a key driver of daily hotel performance.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in hotel leadership, supervisory experience, and relevant certifications; a customer-first mindset and strong communication skills

Qualifications

• At least five years of progressive hotel experience (Rooms or F&B).
• Supervisory background required.
• Certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid preferred.

Responsibilities

• supervise multiple departments and drive profitability by managing teams.
• Proactively spot challenges and ensure smooth daily hotel operations.
• Recruit, hire, and train Guest Services staff and develop ongoing training programs.
• Listen actively and maintain clear communication with colleagues and guests.
• Analyze financial information to support hotel operations.
• Utilize Windows for management reporting and data analysis.
• Ensure professional appearance and grooming standards across staff.
• Provide a service-focused attitude to guests and teammates.
