Job summary

Aimbridge Hospitality is seeking an Assistant General Manager for the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. This full-time role oversees hotel operations, drives profitability, and leads multiple departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a bustling city hotel.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years in hotel leadership (or a related degree with experience), strong communication skills, and a track record of developing teams while maintaining high standards of service and compliance.

Qualifications

• At least five years of progressive hotel experience (Rooms or Food & Beverage).
• Or a four-year degree with 2–3 years, or a two-year degree with 3–4 years of related experience.
• Supervisory background required.
• Ability to stay calm and objective under pressure.
• Must hold or obtain certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Supervise multiple departments and drive hotel profitability by managing teams and partnering with the General Manager.
• Proactively spot challenges and tackle them to ensure smooth daily flow.
• Recruit, hire, and train Guest Services staff and develop team through training programs.
• Listen actively and communicate clearly with colleagues and guests.
• Manage financial data to support hotel operations and performance tracking.
• Utilize Windows OS for reporting and management tasks.
• Maintain professional appearance standards and grooming across staff.
• Provide a hospitality-focused, guest-centric atmosphere in all interactions.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
