Job summary

Red Roof Plus Miami Airport is seeking an Assistant General Manager to assist the General Manager in running daily hotel operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, staff performance, and financial accountability. You will balance hands-on hotel tasks with administrative leadership, guiding departments and maintaining brand standards.

The AGM partners with the General Manager to optimize operations, supervise staff, and coordinate vendors while upholding safety, cleanliness, and guest services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Previous hotel supervisory or management experience required or strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, Front Desk procedures, housekeeping, guest relations, and basic financial reporting.
• Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS), reservation systems, and Microsoft Office applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager with daily hotel operations and departmental coordination.
• Support implementation of operational procedures and monitor property performance.
• Lead in the General Manager's absence and ensure open communication with staff.
• Coordinate with contractors, service providers, and vendors; track proposals and invoices.
• Review payroll, labor costs, and departmental spending; monitor cash handling and reporting.
