Job summary

Aloft Miami Airport, part of HEI Hotels and Resorts, seeks an experienced Assistant General Manager to lead daily operations in a dynamic, guest-facing environment near MIA. You will act as General Manager in his/her absence and drive execution of the property strategic plan.

Responsibilities include planning meetings, ensuring brand SOP compliance, managing budgets, controls, hiring, training, and staff development, while collaborating with an Executive Committee to meet financial goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of management experience, preferably in both Rooms and F&B.
• Computer literacy and financial management experience required.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, marketing plans, safety programs, and long-range planning.
• Able to resolve guest, supervisor, and associate conflicts.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, attend, and participate in hotel and departmental meetings.
• Ensure compliance with brand SOPs and policies.
• Develop and manage Rooms/F&B budgets and revenue forecasts.
• Develop and implement expense controls using labor management tools.
• Interview, hire, train, evaluate, and discipline staff as needed.
• Assist Executive Committee in achieving financial objectives of the hotel.
• Maintain regular attendance and availability for on-site work.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
