Job summary

The ideal candidate has management experience in hospitality, strong communication skills, and knowledge of budgeting and cost controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of management experience in hospitality.
• Effective communication with guests, management and staff.
• High school diploma; degree in hospitality or business preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of budget preparation and cost controls.
• Working knowledge of hotel departments.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operating documents.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Knowledge of the property management system.

Responsibilities

• Assist in achieving hotel financial goals and budget targets.
• Maintain guest satisfaction and service standards.
• Oversee staff performance and training to ensure productivity and quality.
• Ensure compliance with Shaner and franchise operating standards.
• Be accessible to guests and employees and handle complaints.
• Assist in developing long- and short-range financial objectives.
• Establish and train standards for cleaning and safety across departments.
