Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton Harrisonburg is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in daily hotel operations, guest satisfaction, staff leadership, and financial performance. The AGM will drive service delivery, uphold brand standards, and ensure a productive work environment.

You will oversee front desk, housekeeping, F&B, and safety compliance, mentor department heads, and contribute to budgeting, revenue management, and cost controls to optimize profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years hospitality experience with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and financial acumen required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations across departments (front desk, housekeeping, F&B, maintenance, guest services).
• Lead staff development, coaching, and performance evaluations; schedule shifts and manage issues.
• Ensure guest satisfaction through professional handling of complaints and service delivery.
• Support budgeting, cost controls, and revenue management to optimize profitability.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to promote hotel offerings and partnerships.
