Job summary

Highgate is offering a 2027 Operations Internship in Houston. You will rotate and work in multiple departments within our hotels and learn about the hospitality industry in a fast-paced environment.

The internship begins in June and placements will be discussed after submission of the offer. We are seeking students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Hotel/Hospitality Management, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Business, or related fields with strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related fields.
High attention to detail and strong work ethic.
Direct interaction with management and staff requires strong communication.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with guests and employees at all levels.
Listen to concerns and clarify issues raised by guests and staff.
Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
Engage with guests and staff in a courteous, service-oriented manner.
Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
Maintain attendance per Highgate Hotel Standards and schedule needs.
Present a neat appearance and proper uniform.
