Job summary

Ivy Hospitality in Indianapolis is seeking a General Manager to lead the opening of a new hotel, build the property’s team and culture, and establish strong operational standards from day one.

The General Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of a select service and extended stay property, drive guest satisfaction and financial performance, and foster hands-on, collaborative leadership aligned with Ivy Hospitality's core values.

Qualifications

• College-level education required; hospitality degree preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive hotel management experience.
• Experience with Hilton or Marriott brands preferred.
• Strong leadership and financial acumen.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hands-on, collaborative management style.

Responsibilities

• Oversee front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B operations.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards and Ivy Hospitality policies.
• Monitor budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse hotel team.
• Maintain exceptional guest service and resolve guest issues promptly.
• Collaborate with sales and revenue to maximize occupancy and revenue.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and health and safety protocols.
• Maintain records and documentation per policy and law.
