Job summary

The Fairfield Inn Nashville is seeking a Night Auditor to review the daily guest ledger, verify balances, and perform front desk duties during night hours. You will greet guests, check them in or out, and provide services while ensuring accurate reporting and smooth overnight operations.

Role requires strong cash handling, attention to detail, and collaboration with housekeeping and security to maintain guest satisfaction and security during the overnight shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate front desk cash drawers, room sales, and accurate folio transactions
• Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests
• Issue room key and escort instructions
• Transmit telephone messages
• Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions
• Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts
• Compute bills, collect payments, and make changes for guests
• Make and confirm reservations
• Post charges such as room, sundry items, fax or copy
• Make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations, and arrange for tours
• Deposit guests' valuables in safe deposit box
• Answer telephone calls promptly and politely in accordance with hotel policies
• Restock work area - maintain neat and organized work area
• Deliver supplies to guests as needed
• Review data regarding room status, income and expenditures
• Prepare computer generated reports as required
• Verify journal and ledger entries of cash, check and credit card payments
• Transmit daily credit card batches to bank
• Prepare checkout folios for daily departures with credit card payments
