Job summary

Extended Stay America seeks a Maintenance Technician to ensure all hotel equipment runs smoothly and guest rooms are in good repair. You will perform routine cleaning, housekeeping support, and respond promptly to guest requests while following Green Shield Binder procedures and safety standards.

You will conduct preventative maintenance, manage tools and inventory, and coordinate with contractors as needed to keep the property compliant with company policies and local regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training may be acceptable

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes 100% commitment to guest and associate experience.
• Works with minimal supervision while performing duties to satisfaction and company standards.
• Responds to guest requests with diligent follow-through.
• Performs out of room cleaning to maintain pristine premises including trash removal and cleanliness of interior/exterior areas.
• Performs repairs listed on work orders and completes them promptly.
• Conducts preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as outlined in company procedures.
• Follows daily Green Shield Inspection schedule to accomplish tasks timely.
• Maintains records such as PM deficiencies, room inspections, life safety inspections and logs.
• Follows workflow on Green Shield Schedule and uses SOPs as guides.
• Maintains organized maintenance areas and inventories tools daily.
• Keeps boiler, electric, HVAC, fire sprinkler rooms clean and compliant.
• Ensures fire safety equipment is operational and inspections current.
• Complies with ESA safety and security policies including OSHA and ADA.
• Maintains pool or spa where applicable per ESA guidelines and local rules.
• Assists with emergencies at property or sister locations as directed.
• Monitors and follows up with outside vendors as directed by management.
