Job summary

Avalon hotel is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for guest rooms, public spaces and back-of-house areas, performing carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting and related trades to keep the property attractive and well‑maintained.

You will inspect areas, carry out repairs or replacements, support the preventive maintenance program, and maintain clear records of work performed, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Basic experience in maintenance trades (electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry).
• CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred.
• Ability to obtain required government licenses/permits.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair guestrooms, public spaces and back-of-house areas.
• Perform repairs or replacements of lights, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets and fixtures.
• Assist with preventive maintenance program.
• Maintain records of repairs and areas needing attention.
