Job summary

Avalon Hospitality Group, LLC is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to service hotel guestrooms, public spaces and back-of-house areas in SAN PEDRO, CA. You will perform a variety of trades to keep the property attractive and well-maintained.

Responsibilities include inspecting rooms and public areas, making repairs or replacements, supporting preventive maintenance, and documenting work. Basic English, good mechanical aptitude, and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of maintenance trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.) and ability to perform repairs.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.
• Working knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Basic English language communication and math skills to understand assignments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect guestrooms, public spaces and back-of-the-house for repair or replacement needs.
• Repair or replace items such as bulbs, switches, outlets, faucets, and hardware.
• Assist in the preventive maintenance program and document work performed.
• Maintain records of repairs and notify supervisor of major issues.
