Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform major repairs and routine maintenance across hotel facilities to meet quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, coordinating with departments, and ensuring equipment readiness for the following day. The role requires physical effort and may include night/weekend shifts to support guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Advanced vocational training plus two years of experience in general building maintenance or construction.
• Ability to carry, lift, push and/or pull items weighing up to 100-300 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb and bend for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform major repairs and maintenance to ensure quality and safety of hotel facilities.
• Follow procedures to safeguard inventory and assets and minimize waste.
• Coordinate with other departments to deliver quality service and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure equipment is prepared and operational for the next day’s work.
• Adhere to safety standards, policies, and local regulations; train staff as needed.
• May perform other maintenance tasks and assist as assigned.
