Job summary

Island Hospitality in Texas seeks a Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain hotel systems and equipment. You may work solo or in a team, observing all health and safety guidelines and assisting with preventative maintenance tasks.

The role requires flexibility for scheduling and readiness to respond to emergencies. You will report to the Chief Engineer and collaborate with the management team to complete projects and maintain guest areas at high standards.

Qualifications

• Motivated team player with initiative and achievement drive
• Able to handle problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems
• Capable in stressful situations and completing work orders on time
• Great guest service orientation and availability to respond to emergencies on short notice

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain hotel systems and equipment
• Complete basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet and tile maintenance
• Perform painting, minor roof repairs and exterior projects
• Repair pool and exercise room equipment as needed
• Participate in preventative maintenance programs and stock checks
• Report to Chief Engineer and Management on technical projects and shift reports
• Attend to emergencies and follow hotel emergency procedures
