Job summary

Island Hospitality Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain hotel systems and equipment, with a focus on safety, detail, and guest service. The role supports team or solo work and may require flexible scheduling to meet hotel needs.

The position involves basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and exterior maintenance tasks, along with preventative programs and emergency readiness. A proactive, service-oriented mindset is essential.

• Able to complete work orders on a timely basis.

• Responsible for knowing hotel emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Recognize, report, and correct potential safety hazards and notify supervisors of damages and disturbances.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet and tile maintenance and repairs.
• Complete painting, minor roof repairs, and other exterior projects.
• Repair pool and exercise room equipment if necessary.
• Engage in preventative maintenance programs.
• Check stocking levels of consumables and replace as needed.
• Collaborate with Chief Engineer and Management on technical projects.
• Prepare all necessary reports during each shift for the management team.
• Report to the hotel for exterior maintenance in bad weather conditions when required.
