Job summary

Island Hospitality is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for inspection, repairs, and maintenance of hotel systems and equipment. The role requires a practical mind, attention to detail, and ability to work solo or in a team while following health and safety guidelines.

This position requires flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays. You will support the Chief Engineer and management, complete preventative maintenance, and report on shift activities to ensure the property's

Qualifications

• Must be a highly motivated team player with initiative.
• Ability to work well in stressful situations and solve problems as they arise.
• Readily available and approachable for guests while providing excellent service.
• Willingness to respond to emergencies on short notice and follow hotel safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain hotel systems and equipment.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet and tile maintenance.
• Paint, roof repairs, and other exterior projects as needed.
• Repair pool and exercise room equipment when required.
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs and inventory of consumables.
• Coordinate with Chief Engineer and management on technical projects.
• Prepare shift reports for the management team.
• Respond to weather-related maintenance duties when required.
