Job summary

Island Hospitality is seeking a Dual Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain a variety of hotel systems and equipment. The role requires thorough, detail-oriented work and the ability to work in teams or independently while following all health and safety guidelines.

This position may require flexible scheduling availability and will involve coordinating with the Chief Engineer and management on technical projects, with duties including routine reports and on-call

Qualifications

• Must be highly motivated and able to work in a team or alone.
• Able to anticipate, prevent, identify, and solve problems as they arise.
• Strong ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience in completing and closing work orders in a timely manner.
• Excellent guest service mindset and availability for guests.
• Willingness to respond to emergencies on short notice.
• Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain hotel systems and equipment.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet and tile maintenance.
• Carry out painting, minor roof repairs, and other exterior projects.
• Maintain pool and exercise room equipment as needed.
• Participate in preventative maintenance programs and inventory consumables.
• Collaborate with Chief Engineer and management on projects; prepare shift reports.
• Report to hotel in poor weather for exterior maintenance as required.
