Job summary

Island Hospitality Management seeks a Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain a variety of hotel systems and equipment. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and guest service, with flexibility for scheduling and a focus on keeping facilities in top condition.

The ideal candidate is proactive, capable of handling emergencies, and able to work with the Chief Engineer and management on essential projects while adhering to health and safety guidelines.

• Responsible for knowing Hotel emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain hotel systems and equipment.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet and tile maintenance and repairs.
• Carry out painting, minor roof repairs, and exterior projects.
• Repair pool and exercise room equipment as needed.
• Participate in preventative maintenance programs.
• Check stock levels of consumables and replace as needed.
• Coordinate with Chief Engineer and Management on technical projects.
• Prepare reports during each shift for the management team.
• Assist with exterior maintenance in bad weather when required.
