Job summary

Island Hospitality Management, LLC. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain hotel systems and equipment.

The role supports both team efforts and independent work while following health and safety guidelines to keep buildings and common areas in excellent condition. The position may require flexible scheduling and involves preventative maintenance, guest service excellence, and readiness to respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
• Ability to work well in stressful situations
• Ability to complete work orders on a timely basis
• Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service
• Ability and willingness to respond to emergency situations on short notice
• Responsible for knowing Hotel emergency procedures

Responsibilities

• Recognize, report, and correct safety hazards and notify supervisors of damages
• Complete basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet and tile floor maintenance and repairs
• Complete painting, minor roof repairs, and other exterior projects
• Complete pool and exercise room equipment repairs if necessary
• Ongoing involvement in preventative maintenance programs
• Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate
• Work with Chief Engineer and Management team to identify and accomplish projects
• Prepares all necessary reports during each shift for the management team
• When required, report to Hotel in bad weather conditions for exterior maintenance
