Job summary

Island Hospitality Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for inspecting, repairing and maintaining a variety of hotel systems and equipment. You will work independently or with a team and follow health and safety guidelines to keep buildings and common areas in top condition.

The role requires flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays, and involves preventative maintenance tasks, basic repairs, and reporting on shift to support guest satisfaction and operational

Qualifications

• Recognize, report, and correct potential safety hazards and notify supervisors of damages or disturbances
• Complete basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet and tile floor maintenance and repairs
• Complete painting, minor roof repairs, and other exterior projects
• Ongoing involvement in preventative maintenance programs
• Ability to respond to emergency situations on short notice

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and maintain hotel systems and equipment
• Prepare shift reports for the management team
• Collaborate with Chief Engineer and Management on technical projects
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in common areas and guest-facing spaces
