Job summary

Island Hospitality is seeking a Maintenance Technician Supervisor to oversee inspection, repairs, and ongoing maintenance of hotel systems and equipment. You will train other technicians, ensure safety, and coordinate with the Chief Engineer on technical projects.

The role supports both team and individual work, with flexibility for scheduling and emphasis on maintaining high standards for guest areas and common spaces.

Qualifications

• Ability to recognize and address safety hazards and coordinate with supervisors
• Experience in basic maintenance tasks across plumbing, electrical, HVAC and related trades
• Ability to train other technicians and lead by example
• Must be capable of working alone or as part of a team and follow health and safety guidelines

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and maintain hotel systems and equipment
• Train other technicians and coordinate technical projects with Chief Engineer
• Prepare shift reports for management
• Assist with exterior maintenance in bad weather and snow removal when required
• Ensure preventive maintenance programs are followed and consumables are stocked
