Job summary

IHG is seeking a Maintenance Representative to keep hotel facilities functioning smoothly and safely. The role involves repairs, refurbishments, and daily upkeep of guest rooms and common areas to ensure a quality guest experience.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of maintenance or repair experience, a high school diploma or vocational training, and familiarity with building management tools. A proactive, guest-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• At least one year of maintenance or repair experience.
• High school diploma or vocational training.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and building management/reporting tools (HotSos, Opera, Lutron, Bartech, Inncom).
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrics and preventative maintenance.
• CPO certification preferred if hotel has a pool.
• Physical fitness to stand for long periods and bend/kneel as needed.
• Compliance with local laws on food handling and alcohol serving; fluent in local language.
• Strong communication and guest-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace items around the hotel and refurbish items in guest rooms.
• Organize supplies and ensure equipment is ready for the next day.
• Follow safety guidelines and report incidents or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of areas inside and outside the hotel (car park, pool).
• Follow preventative maintenance calendar to keep systems running efficiently.
• Be a friendly face and helpful for guests.
• Inform supervisor about low running supplies.
• Appear neat and in uniform.
• Be ready to take on extra duties as needed.
