Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management's Pittsburgh property is seeking a part-time maintenance engineer to oversee preventative and reactive maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, pool facilities, and building grounds at the Pittsburgh Sheraton.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and log maintenance tasks, follow safety procedures, coordinate with other engineering staff, and contribute to a safe, clean, and inviting guest environment for hotel operations around the clock.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry in hotel settings.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
• Ability to follow safety and security procedures.
• High school diploma preferred; on-site maintenance experience desirable.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical or electrical systems throughout the hotel.
• Performs preventative maintenance on a schedule basis.
• Maintains outdoor areas and pool facilities as assigned.
• Follows safety and security procedures and reports unsafe conditions.
• Supports other engineering staff as needed.
• Keeps logs and records of maintenance activities.
