Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform general maintenance and repairs across hotel facilities, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The role covers building, equipment, and grounds maintenance with preventative tasks and timely repairs.

The Engineer will handle minor work orders, monitor systems, refurbish furnishings, and maintain exterior areas while ensuring guest satisfaction and teamwork with other departments.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of general building maintenance and repair experience.
• High school diploma or related vocational training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete minor work orders (ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, painting, plumbing/equipment repairs).
• Ensure equipment is prepared and operational for the next day.
• Monitor electrical and HVAC controls and make minor repairs for efficiency.
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms and common areas.
• Maintain exterior areas and inventory security of tools and supplies.
• Report unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor.
• Respond courteously to guest questions to ensure satisfaction.
• Promote teamwork with other departments; assist with other duties.
