Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support hotel facilities, guest rooms and back-of-house areas with general repairs, preventative maintenance, painting, plumbing, and engineering tasks.

You will troubleshoot and repair equipment, document work orders, collaborate with Housekeeping and Front Office, and uphold OSHA safety standards in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, engineering, facilities, hotel maintenance, painting, plumbing, HVAC, or building operations experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of general maintenance, plumbing, painting, electrical systems, carpentry, and preventative maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair work across guest rooms, public spaces, back-of-house areas, and hotel facilities.
• Support preventative maintenance programs for HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, painting, carpentry, and general building upkeep.
• Respond to guest maintenance requests and operational repair needs quickly and professionally to support guest satisfaction.
• Perform painting, patching, touch-up work, minor plumbing repairs, fixture replacements, and routine engineering tasks as needed.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairing hotel equipment, appliances, mechanical systems, and operational issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization across maintenance shops, storage areas, equipment rooms, and workspaces.
