Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to ensure safe, well‑maintained hotel facilities. You will perform repairs and preventative maintenance across guest rooms, public spaces, and back‑of‑house areas, while supporting efficient operations and guest satisfaction.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, strong teamwork, and a commitment to safety. Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, engineering, or building operations.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine repairs safely.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair across guest rooms, public spaces, back-of-house areas.
• Support preventive maintenance for HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, lighting, painting, carpentry.
• Respond to maintenance requests quickly to support guest satisfaction.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of hotel equipment and systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance spaces and logs.
• Follow safety regulations and hotel policies at all times.
