Job summary
Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support the upkeep of our properties. You will perform general maintenance across guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas, handle preventative programs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and painting, and assist with repairs and safety compliance.
Ideal candidates bring hands-on problem solving, pride in high standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance, engineering, or building operations experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine repairs safely.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance across guest rooms, public spaces, back-of-house areas.
- Support preventative maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and painting.
- Respond to maintenance requests to support guest satisfaction.
- Carry out painting, patching, minor plumbing, and fixture replacements.
- Assist with troubleshooting and repair of hotel equipment and systems.
- Maintain cleanliness of maintenance shops and storage areas.
- Document maintenance logs and work orders; follow safety procedures.
