Job summary

Candlewood Suites Washington Dulles Herndon is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform hands-on maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. You will lead daily inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure guest comfort and safety in a busy hotel environment.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma, and preferably hotel maintenance experience with relevant trade licenses. A valid driver's license is required, and safety is a priority in all tasks.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience in hotel maintenance or related field preferred.
Trade license in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry is highly desirable.
Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

Perform daily inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on plumbing, HVAC, electrical and other systems.
Handle minor carpentry, painting, and furniture repairs to keep areas operational and attractive.
Respond to emergencies (fire alarms, power outages) prioritizing guest safety and quick resolution.
