Job summary

Candlewood Suites Rocky Mount is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to keep all hotel systems running smoothly, from HVAC and plumbing to electrical and general repairs. You’ll work hands-on, in a fast-paced environment, ensuring guest comfort and safety while supporting a team-driven hotel operation.

High school diploma required; trade licenses desirable. Day-to-day tasks include preventive maintenance, quick-fix repairs, and safety compliance in guest rooms and public areas.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in hotel maintenance or related field preferred.
• Trade license desirable (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance across plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and resolve equipment issues, prioritizing guest safety.
• Maintain safe work areas and handle tools and hazardous materials per OSHA.
