Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold building systems and guest comfort at their New Orleans property. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and upkeep of guest rooms, pool facilities, and common areas.

You will ensure energy efficiency, safety, and adherence to SOPs while delivering courteous guest service. The ideal candidate has a background in building trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry) and experience in hotel

Qualifications

• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry background.
• Hotel maintenance experience preferred.
• Physically capable of lifting 25–50 lbs.
• Able to follow instructions and report progress clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on hotel systems and fixtures.
• Check electrical systems, HVAC controls, lighting and perform minor repairs.
• Service pool equipment and manage chemical levels.
• Maintain building exterior and curb appeal (snow removal, painting, etc.).
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms; move items as needed.
• Respond courteously to guest questions and requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Comply with attendance rules and regular work schedule.
