Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a skilled Building/Maintenance Technician to keep guest rooms and common areas in top condition. You will perform preventive maintenance and essential repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems, help service pool facilities, and ensure safety and functionality throughout the property.

The role emphasizes timely response to guest requests, adherence to standards, and the ability to move furniture and operate basic tools.

Qualifications

• Vocational training or certification in building trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
• Hotel maintenance experience preferred.
• Physical ability to climb, lift 25–50 lbs and stand for blocks of time.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs to building systems.
• Inspect and repair electrical, HVAC, plumbing and basic carpentry as needed.
• Service pool equipment, perform minor repairs and document work orders.
• Maintain exterior areas and interior furnishings, move furniture as required.
• Respond to guest inquiries and maintain high guest satisfaction.
