Job summary

Sage Hospitality Group in New Orleans, LA seeks aMaintenance Technician responsible for responding to guest requests, performing preventive maintenance, and repairing hotel equipment to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities include rounds, repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems, plus maintaining logs, handling emergencies, and documenting parts used for future reference.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent trade school training.
• At least 6 months of experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Ability to drive a pick-up truck and snow removal equipment.
• Ability to maintain logs and records of maintenance work.
• Professional presentation with team collaboration and independent decision skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests in a courteous and safe manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all hotel equipment (kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical, guest rooms).
• Monitor engineering functions when full staff is unavailable; respond to emergencies and notify authorities as needed.
• Make rounds to ensure everything is in working order and document work orders and parts used.
• Report unsafe conditions and maintain proper records of preventive maintenance programs.
