Sage Hospitality Group is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join the Indigo Raleigh Hotel in North Carolina. The role involves responding to service calls, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring hotel equipment operates safely and efficiently.

You will carry a portable radio, prioritize guest requests, and maintain logs. The position is full-time with hourly pay and benefits, offering opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant courses in building maintenance and construction.
• At least 6 months of experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Ability to maintain HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment; basic carpentry and renovation skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment (kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical, guest rooms).
• Monitor engineering functions when full staff is unavailable (weekends/evenings); respond to emergencies (fire alarms, power failures).
• Make rounds to ensure facilities are in working order and maintain logs; document parts used and needed for purchases.
• Handle elevator issues and maintain the Rooms Preventive Maintenance and Request programs.
